GuardTrax™ uses GPS (Global Positioning System) to acquire the location of a security officer on duty. The unit also gathers other important data points, including motion, time, heading, speed etc… Then, using the GSM/GPRS wireless / cellular network, GuardTrax™ transmits the data to a remote server. The server will process and post the data to a GIS web-based mapping application that includes satellite imagery. (If an alert is initiated, the server will also transmit a notification via email or text message to designated supervisors.)
